Ann Hammonds is the Organist and Choir Director at St. Matthew’s. She has been a musician her entire life. As a child, she often accompanied her parents to the adult choir rehearsal, where she discovered her love of music and began her first children’s choir at age four. Ann continued to learn about music throughout her school years, singing in the school choir, playing music in orchestra and the marching band. She took her first professional role in music ministry at age 16, and hasn’t stopped since.

Ann graduated from Concordia College St. Paul Minnesota (now known as Concordia University) in 1995 with a degree in Church Music and Theology. She can play a number of instruments, including, but not limited to piano, organ, guitar, harpsichord, recorder, harp, dulcimer, hand bells, etc.

Ann loves to share her passion for music with others and enjoys working with the choir here at St. Matthew’s.

Meg Sye is the church secretary and office administrator at St. Matthew’s. She graduated from Murray State University in 2018 with a BA in English Education, and taught high school and middle school English for six years. Today, she is enrolled at Illinois State University where she is pursuing a graduate degree in Communication. She loves working at St. Matthew’s!
