Ann Hammond is the Organist and Choir Director at St. Matthew’s. She has been a musician her entire life. As a child, she often accompanied her parents to the adult choir rehearsal, where she discovered her love of music and began her first children’s choir at age four. Ann continued to learn about music throughout her school years, singing in the school choir, playing music in orchestra and the marching band. She took her first professional role in music ministry at age 16, and hasn’t stopped since.

Ann graduated from Concordia College St. Paul Minnesota (now known as Concordia University) in 1995 with a degree in Church Music and Theology. She can play a number of instruments, including, but not limited to piano, organ, guitar, harpsichord, recorder, harp, dulcimer, hand bells, etc.

Ann loves to share her passion for music with others and enjoys working with the choir here at St. Matthew’s.

Jennifer has been the Office Administrator for St. Matthew’s since August of 2025. She grew up in Morris and New Lenox (across the street from Joliet), Illinois. In 2001 she graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign with a BA in English literature, a minor in Medieval Studies (because she likes having useless skills), and did not get a teaching certificate. After getting married to her high school sweetheart in 2002 she moved too many times because her husband was serving in the Air Force. Once his service was over they returned to Bloomington “for just one year” for her husband to finish his degree. That was in 2006. Both got jobs, bought a house, and have been here ever since.
